Why I started paying closer attention

I started paying close attention to real estate because I wanted to buy in the Florida Keys myself.

What I noticed early on was how easy it was to miss important details. Listings sounded confident. Conversations felt reassuring. But the information was often incomplete.

Insurance costs were not always clear. Flood risk was glossed over. Long term usability was rarely discussed.

Rather than accept that as normal, I took the time to learn how this market actually works. Not just pricing, but the parts that affect how a property lives and holds value over time.
